Top 5 Stag activities
If you’ve chosen to go on a stag do in the summer months then you’ve made a good decision, as you’ll find there are far more activities you can get involved in and you’ll be less constrained by harsh weather conditions. Here are five of Redseven’s favourite stag weekend ideas which are best experienced in the summer:
1. Hire a Yacht in Marbella, Spain
Get the most out of summer and head to the sunny shores of Marbella on the Costa del Sol.Here you can hire a private yacht or get yourselves onto a chartered catamaran where you can enjoy snorkelling or fishing, as well as sitting back and relaxing with a cold beer in hand. With the setting of the Mediterranean Sea, 27 kilometres of coastline, crystal clear blue waters and a stunning mountainous backdrop, Marbella is a top destination for hiring a yacht. Plus, for a stag weekend, Marbella has some of the best nightlife in Europe on offer.

2. Sky Diving in Switzerland
Sky diving is the ultimate stag do activity! It’s one of the pricier activities but then again it’s not something you do every day, and the experience will leave lasting memories. Aside from a few other places in the world such as New Zealand or Nepal, Switzerland is one of the most stunning locations for a scenic sky dive, with snow capped Alpine peaks and big blue lakes right beneath you. For UK stag groups it’s also much more accessible than a lot of destinations such as New Zealand which is a lot further afield.
3. Zorbing and Tobogganing in Riga, Latvia
This adrenalin rush activity is not available in the winter as it relies on warm dry weather, so it makes for the perfect activity to go for in the summer months. Zorbing basically involves throwing yourselves down a hill in a clear air pumped sphere, a bit like a human hamster ball! Also, if you do it in Riga then you’ve also the option to go on the summer toboggan run which can pick up a lot of speed and is ideal for thrill seekers.

4. Coasteering in Cardiff, UK
This is a great one if you’re up for something a bit different, and Wales is the top choice for it as it boasts a stunningly rocky coastline. This highly adventurous activity involves climbing across rocky cliff faces and abseiling down canyons; you’ll even get to jump from the cliffs into the sea if you’re brave enough!

5. Canal Boat Hire in Amsterdam, Holland
Amsterdam is a great city all year round but in the summer you can take advantage of hiring a canal boat. This is an ideal way to truly experience and enjoy the intricate canal system which runs through the heart of the city.To get the most out of the activity, hire a private canal boat for just you and your mates so you have it all to yourselves. You’ll get your own skipper to take you along the canals so all you have to do is sit back, drink in the sun, enjoy the views and have a good laugh with your mates.
