Something old, something new; something borrowed, something blue. This saying has been a part of weddings since Victorian times, and Kristen, our Zankyou US editor, come up with 8 great ways to incorporate your ‘something blue’ into your bridal look. Take a look!

Colourful wedding shoes are a major trend and a great way to drive your colour scheme as well as tradition!

If you don’t want blue shoes, how about blue toes? :)

3. Jewellery

We love these aquamarine and sapphire pieces from Tiffany & Co., Blue Nile and Brilliant Earth. A piece of jewellery with a blue precious stone can become an heirloom that you pass onto your daughter on her wedding day.

4. Wedding Bouquet

Okay, technically you’re not wearing it, but a blue bridal bouquet is with you all day, bringing good luck and looking lovely. Hydrangeas, delphiniums, statice, sea holly and campanulas are great blue-hued choices.

5. Garter

A blue garter is a traditional – and less visible – way to incorporate blue.

6. Hair accessories

A pop of blue adorning your updo is lovely and unexpected.

7. As an accent on your wedding gown

A sash, ribbon, or even a blue tulle crinoline peeking out from beneath your dress are all great ways to add a touch of color.
