Royal Wedding Fashion
The royal wedding guest list was long – around 1,900 people received an invitation. So there’s been plenty of room on this royal wedding day to observe plenty of great fashion.
The star of the day has been headwear. British designer Philip Treacy’s creations have lead the way during the star studded day, gracing the heads of both the Duchess of Cornwall and Victoria Beckham.
Colours, meanwhile, were big and strong. Pink, fuchsia and purples were all over the place, as was navy blue.

Samantha Cameron, wife of British PM David Cameron, wowed the fashion observers with her teal Burberry dress and orange pashmina. A great reflection of how on-trend block colours leading the way for guests at Spring-Summer weddings this year.

Jewells in her hair instead of the traditional hat or today’s favourite fascinator made her stand out and the verdict is already in that her outfit is one of the day’s big hits.

A nervous looking Victoria Beckham also wowed the crowds in a navy blue from her own collection, a hat by Philip Treacy and custom-made Christian Louboutin shoes. David Beckham looked suitably formal in a Ralph Lauren Purple Label suit.

Another couple of outfits that have stood out – a reflection of the choice of neutral colours in contrast to the many bright colours among the guests and the Queen’s canary yellow – were those worn by the Duchess of Cornwall and mother of the bride, Carole Middleton.

Anna Valentine and Catherine Walker & Co were the two respective labels responsible for the dresses and Camilla also wore Jimmy Choos. Nice touch.
We’ll keep coming back with updates on more hits and misses in today’s royal wedding fashion… For now, just enjoy it Zankyouers!
