Now here’s a wedding that manages to tick all the right boxes whilst doing away with the more rigid formalities some weddings inflict on their guests; this was a beautiful wedding but with a total party feel. It was a very personal day, but with fun very much a common thread throughout! From the cool entertainment to the crowd pleasing catering, it all kept the guests truly celebrating and throwing all sorts of shapes on the dance floor until the end of the night!
The Couple
These cuties met at Subspace in Manchester. Kat saw Ste at the bar and confidently went over to chat to him, with the inevitable drinks soon being laid down on the bar. Ste’s side of the story differs ever so slightly, he tells us he gave Kat “the look” across the bar, but we aren’t so sure about his version!
The Venue
Didsbury house hotel was the chosen venue because they were able to rent out the whole place, including all 27 individually designed bedrooms, allowing them the opportunity for a real intimate party feel. They opted for a buffet instead of a traditional sit down meal, meaning people could mingle and the party vibe never let up. This couple managed to get the wedding they dreamed of and a whole lot more!
The Details
Kat and Ste were heavily involved in putting together some of the finer details, including the decorations, cake and flowers. Looking at the pics we can see DIY is definitely the way forward! Kat’s vintage wedding dress also had us oooing and ahhing. We love the sweet and sexy look she went with. But what really made it for us was the fact that they’d arranged for the incredible magician Stephen Williams Jr to entertain their guests during the day. Points for originality.
The Moment
This bride and groom really love to dance, and for them the band and DJ were an unforgettable part of the day. Ste loved the moment everybody got up to hit the dancefloor after the their first dance. In fact this was a moment well loved by all – the floor really bounced! We are all for going with a live band for your first dance to add that extra emotional authentic feel.
As you can see from the photographs, this was a big day that was capped by a party in full swing with everyone in high spirits and fun at the centre of everything.
