All the details from the Pronovias 2013 fashion show at Barcelona Bridal Week

There we were, on a mountain above Barcelona, in a palace filled with stained glass windows and works of art. The setting was perfect – the Catalan National Museum of Art, but the occasion was even better – the Pronovias 2013 fashion show.

The front row was full of famous faces and the catwalk was no exception, with the presence of the supermodel Karoline Kurkova, the perfect body for these beautiful dresses.

The collection, entitled Le Jardin des Rêves, or the Garden of Dreams, showed its inspiration, with a thousand and one flowers all over the wedding dresses. From intricate flowery lace to over-the-top embellishments, these dreamy pieces will look great on 2013 brides.

There really is a style for everyone – from romantic brides looking for bigger dresses to city brides who want softer, more contemporary looks.

On the catwalk, the dresses by Pronovias, Manuel Mota and Elie Saab revealed some of next season’s biggest bridal trends – from short trousers to the evening-wear look of some of the dresses. Shorter dresses with long trains or peplums were also a big favourite for us.

There were plenty of big skirts, decorated with thousands of flowers and appliques, bejewelled embellishments around the waist and neckline and the infamous Kate Middleton-inspired lace false neckline and sleeves. Our favourite was the dress worn by Karolina Kurjova at the end of the show (see above), showing off the model’s endless legs, a long train and XL flowers – this dress really captured the collection as a whole.

We also managed to get some photos from backstage of the supermodel having her hair done by the show’s stylist Moncho Moreno.

So what do you think about the dresses, the look and the flowers? We think it’s a pretty beautiful collection. But we’d love to hear your thoughts!
