The next phase of Project Royal Wedding has been put in place. The Engagement Photos. Prince William and Kate Middleton posed at St James’s Palace for some beautiful photos by one of Princess Diana’s favourite photographers, Mario Testino.

Two photos have been released to the press, one informal, the other more formal. In both, Kate has chosen to promote British high street brands, with a cream Whistles blouse (£80) in the informal photo and a white ‘Nanette’ dress from Reiss (£159). Both stores have said they will reissue the garments in their next collection.

We think they look very loved up and the informality of the photo adds a special touch to what could be a very different Royal Wedding. We’ll just have to wait and see won’t we?
