3 months to go: Start your beauty regime. Never had a facial before? Then this is the time to start. Many brides make the huge mistake of having a facial the day before their wedding and wake up with a bright red face and a nasty irritation. Nothing that won’t disappear in a day or two but even the most robust of skins can have reactions, all part of the natural process of facials replenishing your skin. Not a pretty sight on your wedding day! If you think 3 months is too far in advance, then leave at least a week between your last facial and your wedding day.
No proper beauty routine? Keeping your skin glowing and fresh needs maintenance. Just five minutes of care a day will keep your skin in tip top condition. You don’t need expensive products or two hours in front of a mirror, things like cleaning your face every day with a facial wipe before bed and applying a moisturiser for your skin type day and night will help to keep you looking radiant and youthful.
If you want something a bit more substantial then adding a toner and a cleanser to your daily routine can really help even the driest and dullest of skins. The most important rule? Feed your skin from the inside: This is just as important at the creams and products you apply on the outside. Fruits, vegetables, a diet high in essential fatty acids (salmon, olive oil, avocados, raw nuts) will all keep your skin plump and healthy. And water. Lots of it. At least 8 glasses a day. Not a fan of plain water? Herbal teas and squash added to water all count, just make sure they’re sugar free.
It’s suddenly 10 days before your wedding! It’s not only your facial skin that needs tending to, the rest of your body will also feel stressed and will need some TLC. Whether you have a sleeveless dress and your arms are on show or a backless gown, then these parts of your body looking their best will help you feel more confident!
