Pre-wedding body, face and hair treatments – take the stress out of looking good
You’ve already chosen the dress, the venue and the music; now it’s time to make sure you look and feel great on the day. But it’s not all about creams and potions. Pre-wedding beauty treatments should start 3 months before the wedding, as you become more conscious of your eating habits and start having a few skin treatments in order to prepare you for your wedding day.
Your wedding is all about feelings, so get into the right mood before the day by making sure your body and soul are feeling good. Relaxing massages, regular exercise, like yoga or pilates, and eating well are just three ways of getting into the right mood, and you’ll soon notice the difference in the way you look and feel.

You then need to think about your skin. Perhaps an exfoliating treatment, that will get rid of any dead cells and impurities is a good idea. Don’t forget any rough parts of your body (ankles, elbows), especially if they’re going on show thanks to your dress and shoes.
An anti-cellulite body-wrap treatment is another thing to think about. But this needs time to notice the results, so make sure you plan in advance.
Even though you should have a regular beauty routine for your face, you need to start paying more attention to this area around a month before.
There are a range of spa treatments or treatments you can do at home that will help this part of your preparation. It’s important to clean your skin each day and perhaps have a facil each week, but be aware of the timing! You don’t want to break out in spots two days before the wedding so your last facial should be no later than two weeks before the wedding.
Remember:
·For greasy skin, the best thing is to use products that will re-establish the balance in your skin.
·Dry skin, on the other hand, should use highly moisturising products and creams that have vitamin C for brightening tired skin.
Talk to your beautician or take a walk down to your local department store to ask for advice. Remember, however, this is not the time to make drastic changes in your skincare routine! Use treatments that are suitable for your skin type and don’t forget essential areas like neck, chest and shoulders.
