Planning Your Las Vegas Wedding!!

Maybe you’re getting hitched in Vegas because you want something quick and simple (as opposed to the big traditional white wedding) or perhaps you’re getting married in Las Vegas because you’ve always loved the city and what it has to offer. Either way this city is a beautiful wedding location and one that can guarantee you a fantastic, beautiful and memorable day.

So where should you start?

Knowing where to start with any wedding is the hardest part of the process – but luckily, when you get married in Las Vegas most chapels and hotels that offer wedding packages will help you sort out other parts of the day too. If you’re choosing to tie the knot in a Vegas chapel – the chapel will usually be able to arrange flowers, tuxedos, photography and transport for you too, so it’s always worth asking if they have a deal that includes any of these extras. If you’re going for something a bit more upscale and opting to have a ceremony in one of the many luxurious hotels in Las Vegas these places will happily offer packages too. The great thing about Las Vegas is that the staff and organisers understand that you may need help getting other aspects of your day together so they’re ready and willing to help you do that. Hotels like the Venetian and the Bellagio offer fantastic wedding packages that include a hotel suite, the ceremony, photography and transport. For a little extra, they could even include the wedding cake and entertainment too – so always check with your assigned wedding planner.

Transport and costs

If you have a large wedding party coming over to Las Vegas with you, you may need to think about travel costs and hotel rooms well in advance. If you’re wanting all the guests to stay in the same hotel – it may need to be booked up to 6 months in advance – just to ensure no guests are left out. You’ll also need to think about shipping over (or flying over) your wedding dress and suits too – as these types of clothing will need special treatment and priority when boarding. The last thing you want to do is lose your wedding dress through customs.

Think about your guests and whether a flight to Vegas will be within their budget. It might be a nice gesture to offer to go halves with guests on any cost they incur getting to your wedding.

Make sure you appoint a good friend to help you get organised on the big day. Hopefully things will go smoothly – but if not make sure you have someone one hand to help just in case. Also, Las Vegas can be a pretty hot city during the summer – so if you’re getting married in the summer months ensure you have a little portable fan with you – the last thing you want on your wedding day is to feel hot and sticky!
