The most elegant dresses from the Jenny Packham 2012 Spring Summer Bridal Collection

I lurve Jenny Packham’s dresses. Not only is it the cut and choice of fabrics, but really it’s more about the embellishment for me. Beautiful crystal straps, jewelled belts, necklines that look like necklaces and decoration that makes dresses look even more delicate rather than weighing them down. To my delight, then, the Jenny Packham 2012 Spring Summer Bridal Collection, is full of her uniquely beautiful touches.

Take this one, for example. It’s got the necessary Hollywood glamour, it’s a vintage-inspired style and it’s got beeeautiful jewelled straps. The perfect dress? Well, in my opinion, it’s perfect for a city wedding, perhaps in a glamourous hotel.

Willow and Iris ©Jenny Packham

On to Willow and Iris – both stunning dresses where the layering of delicate fabrics create very ‘willowy’ looks. There’s a distinctly vintage look to both dresses, but the one-shouldered look on Iris is also very on-trend.

Parma and Aspen ©Jenny Packham

Two more straight silhouettes with Parma and Aspen. Parma’s empire-line look is very Pride & Prejudice while the delicate lace sleeves on Aspen make a very elegant dress a little more demure.

Peony ©Jenny Packham

Now for Peony – perhaps the most wearable of the collection, it’s reminiscent of Vera Wang‘s style of floaty, textured looks. It’s not my favourite, but it’s definitely very pretty.

Pretty close to top marks to Jenny Packham for this collection! What mark would you give? And what about the other 2012 collections featured at Zankyou?
