Lara Hannah’s glorious Debut Collection
There’s something about red lipstick, don’t you think? Something that screams Hollywood allure and glamour. It’s the power of fashion and beauty mixed with the delicate femininity of dressing like a lady. Today we bring you Lara Hannah’s début collection which just like red lipstick is eye-catching and glamourous.
Lara Hannah, sister brand to Tobi Hannah, has taken classic design and put its own 21st century twist on it. White is the common thread in each dress but fear not, this is not boring on monotone. Lara Hannah has featured many fashion trends in the designs, such as the androgynous high neckline, beading, lace and embroidery. Nevertheless, this is not a collection of fashion pieces that will go out of date – each gown is timeless, classic and elegant. So, let’s take a look ladies…
Neri is a beautiful dress, the simple strapless gown and three quarter length sleeve bolero create a dramatic and glamorous silhouette. The stunning beading detail really does create a statuesque figure whilst giving the gown that wow factor that every woman desires.
Every time I see the fabulous Elizabeth gown, I think of Jill Sander’s 2011 spring/summer collection. The cap sleeve, t-shirt effect is very on trend at the moment as is the a-line maxi skirt. Elizabeth is a classic, sleek 1940s-inspired design which skims the body and creates a grown up silhouette. This dress would transcend from day to night with ease whilst remaining elegant and sexy throughout.
Brigitte is without a doubt, my favourite gown. It is young, fresh, feminine and flirty. The simple shape compliments the intricate detailing perfectly whilst remaining relaxed and laid back. I can imagine this dress adorning the likes of Kate Bosworth or Chloe Sevigny on the red carpet with ease, and it would be perfect for a destination wedding or a country celebration!
April has vintage touch that everyone seems to be craving at the moment. The adorable detailing on the bust and the delicate cut of the sleeves is reminiscent of the 1930s-style dresses, currently very on trend.
Alberta is sexy and daring without looking undignified or revealing. The beautiful cut and delicate detailing make for a really eye catching dress. Notice below the fantastic shape of the behind. The deep V neckline combined with the alluring shape of the back really is feminine and glamorous.
Airlia is just lovely. Simple, attractive with clean lines and subtle sparkle around the centre. Perfection! Need I say anymore?
Finally, we bring you Adriana, the genius dress! We’ve all seen Kate Winslet in the paper recently wearing Stella McCartney’s ‘Octavia’ which like Adriana has two panels in the waist area to create the illusion of a tiny waist. Just like ‘Octavia’ this gorgeous bridal gown is super slimming and elegant. It will flatter every shape and size whilst being on trend and fashionable! What’s not to like?
So ladies, next time you reach for your eternally stylish red lipstick, think Lara Hannah, a lovely new brand that will go from strength to strength! No doubt about it!
