Kate Middleton’s wedding dress by Manuel Mota for Pronovias
Manuel Mota, Creative Director of Pronovias is a busy guy. Pronovias 2012 collection is in full swing, as is the Manuel Mota for Pronovias 2012 series of dresses, and in the meantime, inspired by the royal wedding and all things related to Kate Middleton, he’s created three spectacular wedding dresses that he thinks the future Princess could wear on her big day.
“I loved the idea of thinking up and designing three dresses for future princess of England to wear. Each design embodies Kate Middleton’s elegance, sophistication and personality,” says Manuel. “This is one of the most important weddings to take place around the world, which is why Pronovias is joining in by creating these special gowns and decorating the boutique to celebrate.”
The Pronovias flagship store in New Bond Street will be preparing for the royal wedding with special decoration, so it’s worth popping round not only to view the Pronovias 2012 collection, but also to see what the brand comes up with!
And now for the dresses!!!
Number 1 dress is glamourous but not too revealing. The fitted corset and skirt suggest feminity but arms and shoulders are covered and a wider auxilliary skir gives volumen and the regal touch.
While the first gown is dramatic, the second is regal, with a structured look in natural Mikado silk wtith embroidery in aged silver microcrystals. I lurve the neckline, don’t you?
The third is all about Chantilly lace, which creates delicate volume. The bride would almost float in this dress, so light is the fabric, a combination of silk gauze and tulle.
I’m sticking with number 2 as my favourite Pronovias dress for Catherine Middleton. It’s structured, feminine, but very very regal. D’you think she’ll pay attention to my advice???
