***Zk Update*** Click on the link the latest styles from the Jenny Packham 2012 collection!
Jenny Packham is one of the UK’s favourite bridal designers and was awarded the title of British Bridal Dress Designer of the Year 2008. Her fans are not only based in Europe, however, as her couture collection has fans on many red carpets in Hollywood. After a beautiful, 1920s inspired 2009 collection, full of delicate embellishments and flapper-style fringes, we at Zk were really excited to see the Jenny Packham 2010 bridal collection. So now is the time to share it with you!
The new collection, featured on Martha Stewart Weddings website, is full of very feminine cuts, including halterneck dresses, low cut v-necks and pieces cut clearly on the bias, thus accentuating all of your curves.
Texture come from silky fabrics or this season’s oh-so-trendy tulle and as with her 2009 collection, Packham makes enough use of beautiful and delicate details, such as a jewelled belts, straps or embellishments around the bust and shoulders, that make for really special dresses.
She does, however, stay away from the massive skirts sported by Reem Accra‘s brides a few months ago, thus creating a less structured bride, but maintaining the ethereal look of her previous collection.
A final aside – although the 2010 princess style seems to be replacing the 2009 rush for short wedding dresses, Jenny Packham has one short piece in her collection that is a beautiful nod to the flapper 1920s style, with fringes and all!
