With the cold of winter upon us, some of you might be waiting for sunshine to do your engagement shoot, but we say, don’t wait. Get inspired by the inspirational colours of winter, as well as by these amazing pics…
While your pessimistic self thinks it’s all grey out there, just imagine how great bare trees will look dressed in the delicate lighting and some splashes of seasonal colour here and there.
And remember, the pale colours of winter will mean the really important things will stand out in your engagement shoot – ehem, that is, you two!
We think an open-air setting is best. This couple chose a wintery woodland, adding a real storytelling touch to the shoot. Then, with the base colour of grey, they added lots of reds and purples in their decoration and flowers, contrasting with the green and brown foliage. The look was finished off with metalic touches of gold, to add a touch of luxury to the decor.
In this shoot, the couple have gone for a casual vintage look. Antique furniture sets the frame and the addition of sumptuous fur overcoats adds a really cosy, textured look.
As for food, the couple have gone for golden hues in the delicious-looking desserts to set off the metalics in their decorations. It’s a great looking dessert table, even for our sweet tooth (click here for some more dessert table inspiration).
What about outfits for the couple? We love the groom’s grey-blue suit, matching the dark shade of the fur coats. Meanwhile, the bride-to-be’s wintry headress, matched with strong lipstick and smoky eyes, are just perfect for standing out in the cold. And her floaty mini-dress is the perfect modern addition to her fairytale look.
