Bridal inspiration from Valentino 2012

Italian design – there’s nothing like it for style, trend-setting and downright beautiful dresses. As we’re big fans of Italian anything (food, holidays, destination weddings…the list goes on), we’ve decided to feature one of the Italian labels, with a look at Valentino wedding dresses and couture pieces for 2012. Pier Paolo Piccioli and Maria Grazia Chiuri have captured a feminine look, in no way over the top or obviously structured. The demure high collar and opaque cover-ups create really delicate looks, while more glamourous pieces create a very different bride.

Drop- and tiered-waists create a long look, reminiscent of 1920s-style fashion and embellishments such as frills and applique (like on this white couture dress below) are just stunning.

White, ivory and nude colours are all stunning colour choices for 2012 brides, so get inspired with these different looks and find bridal ideas on the catwalks as well as in bridal shops!
