The alternative first dance

While seriously soppy love songs are a staple of the wedding first dance, some couples decide to go down another alley and look for alternative versions of the first dance.

Choosing an alternative first dance is a surefire way to surprise your guests and make them laugh. But at the same time, you’ll really enjoy yourselves, which is the whole point.So, if your favourite song is Thriller by Michael Jackson or Dirty by Christina Aguilera, you can always do like lots of other brides and grooms and prepare your own dance routine, complete with smart moves.

You can always go the whole hog, however, like Julia and James, who danced the whole end-of-show routine from Dirty Dancing (with lift!). Their video (below) proved so popular that they ended up on Oprah Winfrey and met none other than Patrick Swayze.
