Nothing makes us happier than reliving the story of a couple’s special day. It not only allows us all to get misty eyed looking back on a happy couple’s first steps into a new life together, but from a personal point of view it is a great opportunity to spy out the details that made it so great and take some inspiration from it! This lovely couple and their beautiful wedding will be no exception…
The Couple
Our charming couple in question, Pegah and Lucas, wanted a destination wedding that would bring together their much loved family and friends from all over the world as well as draw on her Persian and his Polish background. That is precisely what they got with their planners, Moments Weddings in Rethymno, a gorgeous little town in Crete.
Venue
The wedding was held at the fabulous Caramel Hotel. As picturesque and naturally beautiful a location as you might hope for, the hotel is situated right on the coast where lush green gardens and a rather slick swimming pool run onto the immaculate beachfront. The perfect surroundings within which to gather your nearest and dearest as you exchange vows with your betrothed. Pegah had her parents as well as sister and two brothers on hand, whilst Lucas had his parents and brother. Their family were overwhelmed by the beautiful scenery, the soothing sounds of the ocean waves lapping onto the beach, as well as the incredible way the venue had been decked out for the wedding making this a truly unforgettable day!
The Moment
Paulina Weddings captured the atmosphere of the day fantastically. Every single heartwarming moment from the vows sealed with a passionate kiss, to the families dancing in celebration to traditional Persian and Polish music was frozen in time in pictures that immediately recall the joy, love and laughter that the day brought to all.
Moments Weddings left nothing to chance, ensuring everything was ready for the bridal party to prepare themselves for the ceremony come the big day, making full use of the luxurious hotel. They also took advantage of their local knowledge to make sure that everything was just right for the ceremony itself; the seating, decor and floral arrangements contrasting beautifully with the green palm lined gardens and blue sea and sky beyond, all the while the sunlight glistening from the bride’s diamond ring as she beamed in her gorgeous dress.
For us the setting was absolutely perfect for a amazing wedding, and this adorable couple hosted a truly magical day for everyone involved. Now we are totally dreaming of a destination wedding, a glam Greek one at that! How about Tuscany for pure romance?
