American-English couple Jaime and Stephanie met in London, so it’s no surprise that whilst planning their cool New York wedding, they chose our capital for a romantic city break. Whist enjoying the many sites of London Town, Jaime and Stephanie decided to have a fab engagement shoot that they could use as a slide-show during their wedding reception. A fun insight for their guests into the city where they once met and fell in love.
They wanted their photo shoot to capture the real essence of London, exploring areas of the capital slightly off the beaten track. Their exciting shoot took them for a romantic stroll along the river, to the creative area of the Southbank and given the couple’s real love of food, to the amazing foodie centre of Borough Market. Have a look at these beautiful images captured by photographer Louise Bjorling and like me, fall in love with London all over again.
Their walk along the river Thames took them over Millennium Bridge to the glorious Southbank, where they were able to enjoy some private moments with their photographer away from the hoards of tourists and the busier areas of London. The Southbank is well known for its creative nature, arty buildings and a more urban feel of South London which enabled them to create some incredibly hip shots, perfect for their New York wedding.
Lovers of food as well as London, their shoot naturally took them to the wonderful Borough Market where they managed to have some shots taken by the world famous The Globe pub. Why famous? Well the flat above the pub is where Bridget Jones lived in both of the films – Bridget Jones’ Diary and Bridget Jones – The Edge of Reason of course!
It’s the law* that if you’re wearing incredible gold sparkly shoes and you happen to find yourself in Borough Market that you HAVE to stop and have a glass of Champagne and Oysters. If you’re not a lover of Oysters, the Champagne will do.

The wonderful archways and incredible architecture of Borough Market was the perfect backdrop for this engagement shoot. London isn’t all about red buses and telephone boxes (as much as we love those too) and this couple wanted their love of urban London to be captured in the most natural and fun way.
In a cute reference to Jaime’s career in baking and pastry making (lucky Stephanie!), cupcakes just had to be wheeled out. What’s a photo shoot without cupcakes?… like we need an excuse!
