Vintage themes have been doing the rounds at weddings for a few years and films and TV shows such as The Great Gatsby and Downton Abbey are keeping this popular theme alive and kicking.
A theme that can span many eras and be made to look elegant and glam if your chosen era is the 1920’s or 1930’s or colourful and retro if your preference lies in the fun 1940’s and 1950’s.
The great thing about vintage is that it’s not tied into a specific year or era and when it comes to your wedding decor, there are many items and details that can be used and incorporated regardless of which vintage look you’re going for.
One of our favourite decor accessories is the vintage suitcase. With its many uses we think it’s a great addition to any wedding style and is so versatile! They can be used as a box for your cards, a seating plan for your guests or even as a magnificent cake stand. They come in a wide range of colours and styles depending on era and we absolutely love them, we’ve even seen them used as a drink station… that’s definitely the best use of a suitcase we’ve ever seen!
