The Deaf Institute is an independent fun loving bar & venue, spread across 3 floors, with 3 bars, a kitchen & a roof terrace.

Housed in a historic Manchester building originally built in 1878 as The Deaf Institute, the building was derelict when we first got our hands on it 6 years ago, and we have refurbished it back to something we hope approaches its original glory. Located just off the bustling Oxford Road, we are based in the heart of Manchester.

In the main bar we have big sharing tables & leather booths, expect fresh & tasty food, a sweetie shop inspired cocktail list, frozen cocktails, local ales & craft beers served up to a rock ’n roll sound track.

The music hall on the first floor in a ballroom is perfect ro wedding receptions! Under a massive mirror ball, with velvet curtains, a domed ceiling, tiered seating and parrots on the wall, it will definitely be a night to remember!

So, if you fancy a knees-up to rival the best then get in contact and we'll lay the feast if you bring the folk.
